Dua pesawat Hercules milik TNI AU diberangkatkan terlebih dulu untuk mengantarkan bantuan untuk Rohingya melalui Bandara Sultan Iskandar Muda (SIM), Blang Bintang, Aceh Besar, Kamis (14/9).
Pesawat nomor lambung A-1316 berangkat pertama kalinya pada pukul 13.40 WIB membawa beras, kru dan 11 wartawan. Berselang 30 menit kemudian berangkat pesawat nomor A-1319. Kedua pesawat ini membawa beras sebanyak 20 ton.
Kedua pesawat ini akan terbang selama 4 jam 30 menit dan turun di Bandara Chittagong, Bangladesh. Otoritas bandara di sana hanya memberikan waktu 2 jam parkir untuk membongkar bantuan dari Indonesia karena keterbatasan tempat. Bandara di sana hanya muat 4 pesawat berbadan besarnya seperti Hercules. Setelah itu akan kembali ke Bandara SIM, Blang Bintang.
Rencana penerbangan ini bergeser dari jadwal sebelumnya. Kemarin direncanakan berangkat pada pukul 06.00 WIB. Akan tetapi, pihak pemerintah Bangladesh mengkonfirmasikan mereka menerima bantuan dari Indonesia pada sore hari, sehingga dua pesawat diberangkatkan terlebih dahulu.
"Setelah dalam perjalanan sekitar 4 jam, kita diberi waktu landing selama 2 jam untuk menurunkan barang," kata Danlanud SIM, Blang Bintang, Kolonel Pnb Sugiono, Kamis (14/9) di Lanud SIM, Blang Bintang.
Sedangkan logistik dua pesawat lagi, sebutnya, akan berangkat besok pada pukul yang sama untuk mengantar logistik bantuan Rohingya. Adapun bantuan berupa sembako, family kit, tenda, makanan siap saja dan sejumlah bantuan lainnya sesuai dengan kebutuhan pengungsi di Myanmar.
"Bantuan ini akan diterima oleh Dubes Indonesia di Bangladesh. Nantinya penyaluran akan diawasi langsung oleh pihak Dubes Indoensia," jelasnya.
Menurutnya, inilah pentingnya pangkalan yang ada di Aceh. Karena sebelum terbang ke Bangladesh bisa terlebih dahulu transit di Aceh. "Karena lebih efektif dan ini kita buat menjadi posko operasi kemanusiaan," tutupnya.
