Kalau Pemerintah mengambil keputusan politik untuk mengerahkan Angkatan Darat, ya kita siap," katanya.
Terkait pengamanan perbatasan yang akan dimasuki pengungsi Rohingya, Jenderal bintang satu ini mengatakan, TNI memiliki tugas untuk mengamankan perbatasan. Jadi, siapa pun yang masuk ke Indonesia secara ilegal, baik pengungsi Rohingya atau pun warga dari negara lain akan ditangkap.
"Komponen di perbatasan tidak hanya TNI saja, tetapi ada unsur lainnya, seperti imigrasi dan Bea Cukai," kata Alfret.
Ia menambahkan, prajuritnya sudah diberi pembinaan, seperti taktik dan teknik untuk mengamankan wilayah perbatasan. "Kami menyiapkan pasukan untuk melaksanakan tugas, termasuk di daerah-daerah perbatasan.
