Warga Rohingya yang tewas ditembak di Myanmar, mulai dimakamkan di Bangladesh. Sedikitnya ada lima warga Rohingya yang dimakamkan secara massal di pemakaman muslim di Bangladesh, dengan dihadiri ratusan orang.
Dituturkan penjaga perbatasan Bangladesh, Komandan Manzurul Hasan Khan, kepada AFP, Jumat (8/9/2017), beberapa pengungsi Rohingya membawa sendiri kelima jenazah itu dari Rakhine, Myanmar. Menurut para pengungsi Rohingya itu, kelima orang itu tewas dibunuh oleh militer Myanmar pada Rabu (6/9) waktu setempat.
Kelima jenazah warga Rohingya itu dimakamkan di sebuah tempat pemakaman muslim bersama dengan satu pria lainnya yang tidak diketahui penyebab kematiannya.
"Kelimanya memiliki luka tembakan," ujar Chailau Marma, Wakil Kepala Kepolisian Cox's Bazar, yang berbatasan dengan Myanmar, kepada AFP.
"Kerabat korban tewas itu membawa jenazah-jenazah itu ke dalam wilayah Bangladesh, setelah mereka gagal menguburkannya di Myanmar. Korban semuanya tewas kemarin (6/9)," imbuhnya.
Pejabat Bangladesh, Anwar Kamal, yang merupakan pemimpin lokal Partai Liga Awami menuturkan kepada Daily Star bahwa kelima warga Rohingya itu tewas dalam baku tembak di desa mereka yang ada di dekat perbatasan Bangladesh.
Pekan lalu, penjaga perbatasan Bangladesh mengizinkan pasangan Rohingya untuk dimakamkan di Bangladesh. Keduanya tewas ditembak, dengan sang istri dilaporkan sempat diperkosa saat mereka kembali ke desanya di Myanmar.
Tidak diketahui pasti jumlah warga Rohingya yang tewas dalam konflik di Rakhine. Akses ke Rakhine sangat tertutup sehingga sulit mencari informasi yang valid. Konflik kembali pecah di Rakhine sejak 25 Agustus, setelah kelompok militan Rohingya atau ARSA menyerang puluhan pos kepolisian dan satu pangkalan militer Myanmar. Serangan itu memicu operasi militer yang menewaskan 400 orang dan memicu eksodus warga sipil Rohingya.
Sejauh ini, PBB mencatat 164 ribu pengungsi Rohingya telah tiba di Bangladesh. Beberapa dari mereka mengalami luka serius seperti luka tembakan atau luka terkena ledakan bom. Bahkan ada yang kehilangan sebelah kakinya akibat terkena ranjau yang ditanam di dekat perbatasan Bangladesh.
Sekitar 50 korban dengan luka tembak dibawa ke rumah sakit pemerintah di Chittagong, yang berjarak 200 kilometer dari perbatasan Myanmar-Bangladesh. Beberapa klinik di dekat perbatasan Bangladesh kekurangan fasilitas untuk merawat para korban luka. Kepolisian Bangladesh sebelumnya menyebut dua korban luka yang dibawa ke rumah sakit, akhirnya meninggal dunia.
