Sejumlah jet tempur yang dipimpin Amerika Serikat menghentikan konvoy evakuasi militan ISIS dan keluarga yang tengah bergerak ke wilayah kekuasaannya di Suriah bagian timur, Rabu (30/8). Menurut juru bicara koalisi AS, serangan itu juga mengenai beberapa pasukan yang menjemput mereka.
Serangan itu bertujuan untuk menghentikan kesepakatan evakuasi militan ISIS yang memperbolehkan mereka meninggalkan daerah terjepit di perbatasan Suriah-Libanon menuju wilayah kekuasaan jihadis di timur Suriah. Kesepakatan itu diatur oleh Hizbullah Libanon dan militer suriah.
Proses evakuasi itu merupakan bagian dari gencatan senjata yang disepakati setelah serangan Hizbullah dan tentara Suriah pekan lalu mendesak militan ISIS ke satu bagian kecil yang terjepit di perbatasan.
Kesepakatan itu dikritik oleh koalisi Amerika Serikat dan Irak yang juga bertempur melawan ISIS di daerah-daerah yang berdekatan dengan Suriah timur, tempat yang menjadi tujuan konvoy tersebut.
Konvoy yang menurut Hizbullah membawa 308 militan dan 331 warga sipil itu kini secara efektif terdampar dan tidak bisa bergerak menuju wilayah kekuasaan ISIS.

Serangan koalisi untuk memblokade konvoy itu terjadi di timur HUmeima, dekat perbatasan daerah yang dikuasai pemerintah Suriah, kata juru biacara koalisi, Ryan Dillon.
"Kami melubangi jalan dan menghancurkan jembatan kecil untuk mencegah konvoy ini bergerak lebih jauh ke arah timur," ujarnya kepada Reuters lewat telepon.
Dia kemudian mengatakan koalisi sempat menyerang kendaraan berisi militan ISIS yang bergerak dari daerah kekuasaannya menuju konvoy tersebut.
Namun, ia tidak tahu apakah konvoy evakuasi yang terdiri dari sejumlah bus berisi militan dan anggota keluarganya itu berada di daerah kekuasaan ISIS atau pemerintah Suriah.
