Panglima TNI Jenderal TNI Gatot Nurmantyo mengatakan pengerahan alutsista itu sebagai bentuk pelaporan kepada Presiden Joko Widodo dan seluruh rakyat Indonesia yang telah membiayai dan mempercayakan kepada TNI untuk memiliki alutsista itu.
"Jadi, bukan besar-besaran. Tapi pertanggungjawaban TNI dengan memperlihatkan alutsista yang dimiliki. Bagaimana perkembangan alutsistanya, pasukannya, agar benar-benar mengetahui dan mencintai TNI," ujar Jenderal Gatot pekan lalu.
Jenderal bintang empat ini mengatakan akan ada demonstrasi dari alutsista yang dimiliki TNI, termasuk alutsista modern yang baru diterima TNI seperti kapal selam KRI Nagapasa 403 dan frigate.
Kepala Dinas Penerangan Angkatan Darat (Kadispenad) Brigjen TNI Alfret Denny Tuejeh mengatakan sejumlah alutsista terbaru milik TNI AD akan tampil dalam peringatan HUT TNI mendatang.
"Semua alutsista terbaru rencananya akan digelar di sana, diikutkan. Contohnya, helikopter Apache mudah-mudahan bisa ditampilkan sebanyak lima unit. Ini masih sedang rapat. Itu semua yang sudah kami pesan," ujarnya.
Selain Apache, kata dia, alutsista lainnya yang akan ditampilkan adalah kendaraan pendarat amfibi ringan APV Arisgator buatan Italia.
"Tapi berapa yang akan ditampilkan saya belum tahu pastinya," ucapnya.
Sementara itu, Kepala Dinas Penerangan TNI Angkatan Laut (Kadispenal) Laksamana Pertama TNI Gig JM Sipasulta menambahkan, TNI AL akan menampilkan kapal selam terbaru yang merupakan kerja sama antara Indonesia dan Korea Selatan.
"Tentu kapal selam terbaru akan ditampilkan," katanya.
Pengerahan alutsista di dalam upacara memperingati HUT TNI dilakukan setiap dua tahun sekali.
