Kepala Pusat Penerangan TNI Mayjen Wuryanto mengatakan rencana nonton bareng film 'G 30 S' yang diselenggarakan TNI AD merupakan momentum untuk kembali mengingat sejarah. Wuryanto menilai saat ini banyak sekali upaya untuk memutarbalikkan fakta yang sebenarnya.
"Tanggal 30 September kan momen bersejarah yang sangat penting bagi bangsa Indonesia, saat ini banyak sekali upaya pemutarbalikkan fakta sejarah peristiwa 30 September 1965," kata Wuryanto dalam keterangannya, Jumat (15/9/2017).
Wuryanto memandang masih ada sebagian orang yang berupaya untuk mencabut TAP MPRS No XXV/1966. Tak hanya itu, dia juga menilai ada beberapa kelompok yang mendorong pemerintah untuk meminta maaf kepada PKI.
Menurutnya, pelajaran sejarah dan Pancasila pun mulai berkurang selama era Reformasi. Karena itu, dengan adanya penayangan film 'G 30 S', keluarga besar TNI mencoba untuk mengngingatkan kembali kepada seluruh anak bangsa mengenai sejarah yang sebenarnya dialami oleh bangsa Indonesia.
"Sejak era Reformasi, pelajaran sejarah, Pancasila, budi pekerti dan lain-lain kan sangat kurang sehingga selama 19 tahun sampai hari ini, anak-anak muda kita jarang sekali melihat dan membaca sejarah sesungguhnya, bahkan justru yang kedengaran adalah yang sedang diupayakan pemutarbalikkan fakta sejarah karena suaranya lebih keras dan lebih lantang," ujar Wuryanto.
Sebelumnya, sebuah pesan berantai tentang surat edaran ajakan menyaksikan film sejarah 'G 30 S' beredar dari WhatsApp Group (WAG). Surat ditujukan kepada para kepala penerangan TNI Angkatan Darat dan ditembuskan ke Kepala Dinas Penerangan AD serta Kepala Subdinas Dispenad.
Kepala Dinas Penerangan TNI AD Brigadir Jenderal Alfret Denny Tuejeh membenarkan isi pesan berantai tersebut memang dari instasinya. "Iya betul," kata dia saat dimintai konfirmasi detikcom, Jumat (15/9).
