Banyak bangkai kapal perang Belanda, Inggris, dan kapal selam Amerika Serikat (AS) yang tenggelam di Laut Jawa telah hilang diambil para pemburu. TNI AL sudah memberi tahu ketiga negara tersebut terkait permasalahan ini.

“Kita sudah melaksanakan pertemuan dengan mereka, biar bagaimana pun juga itu heritage mereka yang ada di sini,” ungkap Kepala Staf Angkatan Laut (KSAL) Laksamana Ade Supandi di Mabes TNI AL, Cilangkap, Jakarta Timur, Jumat (3/3/2017).

Namun ketiga negara tetap harus izin dan menghormati kedaulatan teritorial Indonesia, demikian kata Laksamana Ade meskipun sudah mengirim nota pemberitahuan. TNI sendiri juga memastikan akan memberikan bantuan, termasuk panduan jika Belanda, Inggris, dan AS ingin survei ke lokasi tempat bangkai kapal perang terkubur.

“Harus tunduk pada peraturan Indonesia, oleh karena itu mereka tidak bisa survei sendiri, nyelam sendiri, tetep menggandeng atau memberitahukan kepada kita pemerintah Indonesia,” jelas Ade.

KSAL juga menyatakan kerja sama juga harus ditentukan dengan jelas sebelum survei dilakukan. Ade mengatakan semua perlu dipetakan karena dalam pengawasan, semua ada di tangan TNI, dalam hal ini TNI AL.

“Harus dipetakan, karena itu adalah bagian dari pengawasan dari kita, dan untuk peta laut yang melakukan itu Angkatan Laut, semua heritage, harus diinformasikan ke kita, posisinya, di mana dia tenggelam, karena tenggelamnya tahun ’42-an, sebelum kita merdeka,” imbuh Ade.

Mengenai pengawasan di sekitar bangkai kapal perang Belanda, AS, dan Inggris tersebut, menurut KSAL bisa dilakukan dengan dua cara. Namun itu pun setelah lokasi pastinya diketahui.

“Patroli itu kan kalau sudah tahu markanya, pengawasan itu bisa dari melakukan surveillance system, sehingga bisa kita lakukan pertama dengan surveillance system, yang kedua dengan patroli,” tutur dia.

Sebelumnya, pemerintah Belanda mengungkapkan kesedihannya atas hilangnya tiga bangkai kapal perang miliknya di Laut Jawa. Ketiga kapal perang Belanda itu adalah Hr.Ms. De Ruyter, Hr.Ms. Java, dan Hr.Ms. Kortenaer, yang tenggelam pada Pertempuran Laut Jawa 1942. Ketiganya tenggelam saat menghadang invasi Jepang ke Pulau Jawa.

Menurut Kementerian Pertahanan Belanda, dua dari tiga bangkai kapal perang tersebut, yakni Hr.Ms. De Ruyter dan Hr.Ms. Java, hilang seluruhnya. Sedangkan kapal Hr.Ms. Kortenaer masih ada sisanya sebagian.

Bukan hanya bangkai kapal perang Belanda yang hilang di Laut Jawa, bangkai kapal perang Inggris dan AS juga hilang. Bangkai kapal-kapal perang Inggris, yaitu HMS Exeter, kapal perusak HMS Encounter, dan HMS Electra, juga ikut hilang bangkainya. Ketiganya karam setelah bertempur dengan pasukan Jepang pada bulan Maret 1942.

Bahkan sebuah bangkai kapal selam Amerika Serikat (AS) juga hilang tak jelas rimbanya. Mengenai kejadian ini, Belanda telah memberi tahu negara-negara terkait, antara lain Amerika Serikat, Inggris, Australia dan Indonesia. Selanjutnya Belanda mengupayakan investigasi atas hilangnya ketiga bangkai kapal perangnya itu.

Pihak Kementerian Pertahanan (Kemenhan) Inggris menduga hilangnya bangkai kapal ini dikarenakan telah diambil oleh para pemulung besi tua ilegal.
