Pelatih Timnas Indonesia U-19 Indra Sjafri mengaku sudah mempelajari kekuatan Vietnam yang akan dihadapi oleh timnya di partai ketiga Piala AFF U-18.
Indonesia akan berhadapan dengan Vietnam di Stadion Thuwunna, Yangon, Senin (11/9/2017) besok. Saat ini kedua tim sama-sama punya koleksi enam poin setelah memenangi dua partai awalnya masing-masing.
Di pertandingan terakhir kedua tim, Indonesia dan Vietnam bahkan sama-sama menang telak atas Filipina; Indonesia menang 9-0 dan Vietnam menang 5-0. Tapi Vietnam berhak duduk di puncak klasemen sementara Grup B karena unggul selisih gol berkat kemenangan 8-1 atas Brunei Darussalam di partai pertama, sementara Indonesia menang tipis 2-1 dari Myanmar.
"Prinsipnya setiap pertandingan kami akan berikan cara yang berbeda dengan identitas yang sama, dan mungkin dengan pemain yang sedikit berbeda. Gaya main kami tetap sama dengan yang kemarin-kemarin namun tetap kita benahi kekurangan yang ada," katanya.
Meski sudah meraih dua kemenangan, Indra menilai performa timnya belum seperti yang diinginkan. Dia ingin pemainnya tampil lebih oke lagi.
"Kalau kami dari tim pelatih, tim ini masih belum 100 persen (performanya) seperti yang kami inginkan. Kami ingin pertandingan ketiga nanti pemain lebih baik," ucap Indra.
"Masih ada yang harus dibenahi dalam permainan anak-anak. Kami sudah simulasikan untuk lawan Vietnam. Saya tidak perlu menyebutkan pemain mereka yang kami waspadai ataupun terkait kelebihan dan kelemahan mereka."
"Kalau saya sebutkan, nanti dia juga bisa baca juga di media, biar itu untuk internal kami saja. Semua fit tidak ada masalah, Witan Sulaeman yang sempat demam juga sudah oke kondisinya. Seluruh pemain yang kami bawa sudah oke semua," katanya.
